We work with the local school district and community organizations to locate families for birthday boxes. School Social Workers, teachers and other community advocates let families know about our Box of Balloons organization and help them fill out the party details form.
Once the form is filled out and received here at Box of Balloons we start planning. A core group of volunteers gets together to plan and decide what items are needed for the birthday box based on the requested theme. We work off of a birthday box check list for each box to keep consistency but colors, games, party favors, etc. vary based on each specific party. Party supplies are also customized using the child's name, initial and favorite colors. Each birthday box includes decorations, balloons, a party game, party favors, cupcakes or baking supplies, plates, napkins and a special gift for the birthday child. Birthday boxes are designed for up to 8 party guests but can be made for less if requested.
Birthday Box Checklist
~Tableware (paper plates, napkins, cups, plastic tablecloth)

~DIY Decorations (pennant banners, printables, signs, etc.)~Party Game/Activity

Once the box is ready it is given to the birthday child's parent or caregiver. From there it is the family's party, they can celebrate a birthday with friends and family. Each party will be unique as some families may celebrate at the park, at their home, at a neighbors, it is all up to them. Here at Box of Balloons we want the party to be from the parents or caregivers, we don't know the children and don't want them to remember us, only an awesome party from their parent.
