A friend sent me a link and something started stirring in my heart which led to an idea...Box of Balloons!
Inspired by other birthday box organizations and my love for celebrations I got an idea. Maybe I could gather a bunch of mommas, girls, anyone who loves people and believes each birthday is worth celebrating and we could help families in need give their child a memorable birthday party.
Of course the basic survival necessities are crucial and important but sometimes it is something extra that gives hopes, something to look forward to and a celebration to remember.
We believe each birthday should be happy and every child celebrated! A birthday party is so much more than cute decorations and party favors, it is a celebration of life. However all the fun supplies can help make a birthday extra special and unforgettable for the birthday child.
Here at Box of Balloons we partner with the local school district and community organizations to find families in need who have a child but can't give them a birthday celebration. Parents or caregivers fill out a party details form, a group of awesome volunteers come together and a birthday box is created!
Birthday Boxes are given to the child's parent or caregiver and they then throw a party celebrating their child's birthday. Each birthday box has a standard birthday check list for supplies but each party is different, unique and hopefully a positive memory for many.
